Just Wondering Is it possible To Make a Multi Cave PCB? That would make me So Happy.

an FPGA version might be possible but I think the Shumps fans would go apeshit over it because it would cause original boards to loose value

Are the ST-V & CPS2 originals already dropping fast in price? Have the 161-in-1's dropped the MVS prices? Don't think so.
Original will never beat a multi.

Cave PCB's are fluctuating regardless.

Yeah the CPS2 prices are probably higher than ever. I believe because of the influx of NEW users because of the multi.

A Cave multi will probably not happen because I don't believe you can fly it under the radar. The IP holder will undoubtedly become aware of it. We know that Sega is aware of the ST-V cart but they simply don't care. And that's because the home collector of past platforms does not drive their bottom line.

In the case of Cave, the home collector market definitely drives the interest in new products as well as keeps older pcbs making money in a commercial environment. The Cave collecting scene is different in that people who are not traditional arcade collectors are also actively involved in the home scene.

I just don't see it ever happening outside of some Chinese bootlegging house.

Your question is a bit strange to begin with as you're not asking for a certain platform but a brand/company. It's like asking "will there be a multi Sega pcb?".

MAME + Ultimarc ArcadeVGA could still be a solution for you to play the Cave's.

I guess that one could reprogram the PCB to change the game. That however would create some bootleg market of cheap games being converted into more expensive, specially where some PCBs cost up to 2k EUR.

I have no interest on that to be honest.

And in the CAVE PCB scene, the "cheap games" generally run you a minimum of $300. Best to stick to mame or get the 360 versions if you want to play a bunch of CAVE shmups.

If a Cave multi once exist i'll probably sell all my CAVE PCBs and buy me a house from it. haha Would be a dream to have a Cave multi

I think this is the only (hypothetical) multi capable of tanking PCB prices!
