ZN2 will not boot e: fixed

I just picked up a SFEX2 ZN2 off eBay, shown working but arrived non-working. I don't get a picture or sound, I've tried booting with dipswitch 2 on it and nothing shows up. I've reseated the rom board, cleaned the jamma edge, tried two different jamma setups etc.


Are these boards super picky with voltage? I'm hoping it's just pebkac and not an actual motherboard problem.


e: Got a blue screen when putting pressure on the CPU, reflowed the CPU and it's all good now.

very - below 4.8 mine just loops the post coloured bars over 5.3 and you risk killing the base board.

I had a g-net that reverted from modbios to the std bios at 5.4v and now won't refresh.

it's outputting sync/resolution to my capture card but just a black screen, so I guess the motherboard may be fine. Maybe something is loose on the rom board. Does a ZN2 display anything with no rom board plugged in? I can near noise when turning the pot, so sound is probably okay and the game isn't playing blind.
