What's new
Been testing the beta tonight no issues so far with any games. haven't tested everything in a game just loaded it and had a round or 2.

Will continue to test games through out the week and report anything i notice
@corey, would you mind listing your hardware specifications ? Here are mine:

TAITO TypeX2 - 210A, 1GB RAM, GF7900GS, DVI 720P Output, 120 GB SSD, LCD Mode, Eizo Flexscan

Can you try to test Samurai Spirits Sen please ? On my setup I only get flashing, game is operational i.e. accepts coins, sounds etc.

I think mine is a 208a with p4 7900gs 4gb (upgraded) connected to a 31khz crt

My copy of ssed works can you post a screen shot of the root of your ssed folder

Edit: the model is 208a not 205a

Interesting ...

My version is from the NotNiko release, I have just done a binary diff against the release. It works perfectly on 1.0

Is there a way of determining which version of the graphics driver is installed by looking at a specific file inside the c:\windows hierarchy ?

I've confirmed @rtw findings, that SamShoSen is broken with the new driver. I played with many different drivers last night and it seems from 101.XX onward TGM3 works but SamShoSen breaks.

I have a few more ideas I'm going to try before giving up.

The way I built the 1.1 BETA image was by taking a clean 1.0 image and installing 169 via the nvidia installer. It looks like the installer doesnt really clean up anything when upgrading.

I'll pm you guys when I get on my main pc with the bins I'm using for ssed to see if it helps.

At least with newer NVIDIA driver installers, you have an Advanced option that will clean up the old driver by removing it completely. One free extra reboot included! :)

Hi,

I had some issue with my machine and I'm trying to re download the NotNiko torrent ;) If someone could seed today or tomorrow I would be really grateful !

Thanks !

Pretty sure I tested Sam Sho Sen using the updated driver and didn't experience any issues; can anyone take a picture or video of what the issue looks like?

Also, has anyone tried installing 93.71 over itself? Sounds weird, but it might fix the OpenGL issue that otherwise keeps TGM3 from running without a reinstalled/updated driver.

Yea that was the first thing I tried, It seems anything before 101.XX causes TGM3 not to work.

Right on, thanks for the confirmation.

I'd be interested to hear more about the Sam Sho Sen issue.

I have gone through the games from the "NotNiko" disk and the following games are not the original releases,
meaning they have been patched to work on desktop PCs or similar. In addition DLLs and binaries have
been removed from the game directory and others added.

Here is the list of modified games:

Chaos Breaker
Battle Fantasia
Homura
KOF XIII
Power Instinct 5
Raiden 3
Samurai Spirits Sen
StreetFighter 4 Arcade Edition
StreetFighter 4 Arcade Edition Export
Super StreetFighter 4 Arcade Edition 2012

Niko and I have been working hard dumping the games we own and submitting them to the dumping union.

However we are still missing official dumps for:

Samurai Shodown: Edge of Destiny
TGM3
StreetFighter 4 Arcade Edition
StreetFighter 4 Arcade Edition Export
Super StreetFighter 4 Arcade Edition 2012

One of the reasons why we need complete dumps is because some of the regions and features of the games are controlled by config files on drive d:\
These files are not regenerated when you start the game with an empty d:\ drive.

So if you own any of these games send me a PM and I'll arrange to get it dumped, most people can dump it themselves. All you need is:

. A USB -> SATA bridge
. Thumbscrew (A windows USB write blocker)
. WinHex
. Picture of:
disk with the disk information
dongle
lid, with game name and version

If you're a Linux person you can of course use USB->SATA and dd :)

We have dumpers in the USA, EUROPE, JAPAN and in-between. If you're short of cash we can pay for postage as well.

Please do not PM me asking for "dumps"

Have an interesting problem maybe just related to every examu game (I only have these to test). JVS controls don't always seem to initialize. At first I thought it didn't like only adding coins, but test button doesn't work either. Problem is intermittent and sometimes when I boot up it works fine, other times only works in menu but not in game. Currently using a Sega JAMMA to JVS ver2 IO (metal box with the audio amp) that i've used successfully with the multi that was being sold. I don't have any other games to test with currently so not sure if it effects others. Maybe the multi doesn't like my IO? Sorry for the ignorance, but any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Edit: Should have noted using Release 1 on a SSD on TTX2 model 217a with 7900GS.

Do you had my mp Niko?
Need some help with winhex :(
Sorry been a long weekend, I will read your PM shortly. However, if you are having an issue getting it setup you should post in this thread so other users maybe able to help you.

Can you take a picture of your I/O? It sounds like you might be using a Capcom I/O. Capcom I/O is fine, I've tweaked the JVS utility for the examu games to poll for input as fast as possible. It works fine for the Sega I/O I have but it might be too fast for your I/O. If thats the case I'll need to make some slight adjustments and can post some updated files soon. All the official games should be working fine, no?
