    Rarer than any overrated rare cave pcb for sure. Your best bet is to extrapolate the info from the 2931. They are all pretty similar in regards to how they work

    where the power comes in from the AC side, pre DC output. so start back where it plugs into the AC. usually there are fuses, diodes, PTC's, etc that can blow preventing operation.

    yeah not sure. i think there were some 16b stuff that doesnt require encrypting, but like scuba said there is the mcu at the top left. also sometimes the z80 is different. pretty sure they never released a non encrypted game on the 16 from factory (but i dont know much the unique variants)

    1. caps should have polarity marked on the board. if they dont, post a pic. if the board was working before, it is obviously the work you did so you need to inspect each spot where a cap was changed, no way around that or guessing on our part can help. a thorough visual inspection needs done. 2...

    yup, boards are the easy part, its the customs or any NLA chip that makes certain repros just "blanks" etc. i have done several.

    you will need to get your multimeter out and start probing components. if there is no output anywhere on any rails, perhaps something blew out on the hot side.
