@AlxUnderBase What is your deal? You have zero knowledge of how many people purchased two units.
I purchased 500 units. 45 units had PCB flaws so factory only sent 455.
This is a brand new product and everyone wants it. I ain't a major company, I'm one a guy with an already full time job...
Got the proto cables the other day. Only checked fitment which seems ok. Could use some minor adjustments. Likely won't get back to this until the new year. Have some other projects I need to tend to first. :-)
I'd like to wait until the Noami 2 going first. @Stupid Dufus offered to send me his. He's in JP, so if someone in the states has one that would save a lot on shipping charges.
Naomi 1 is for sure possible. I need to pick one up or perhaps someone can loan me one to mod. Since my Naomi 2 can do Naomi 1 I'm not trying to add one into my collection.
I started working on this a few weeks back.
I just finished the flex cable and ordered some proto units. Audio will need to route to this flex cable as well. I'll make a small little PCB that mounts on the DAC. You could solder directly to the DAC legs, but I will put some series resistors...
To clarify, the ODE does not need swiss to run properly. So no extra patches are needed to be done for games to play properly w/audio streaming.
Using swiss in conjunction will add a great addition as it has amazing features.
With a factory GD-ROM drive in there is zero room to install the board in the top. So the only option is below the motherboard. The mini HDMI barely fits below. Has about 1-2mm clearance. People don't really realize how tight these installs need to be. If we didn't have to contend with the...
Sure, the HDMI on the dreamcast actually sits below the motherboard.
The connector is mini HDMI. This is what the placement looks like:
You can keep the bottom metal shield in, as we have vinyl stickers to go on the bottom of the PCB so there is no risk of shorts. I pulled the metal...
Anybody heard word from saveyourgames when they will receive stock? I'm not going to bug them as I'm sure they have better things to do. I'm open to hearing rumors
I've seen this board too, its a hat that goes on the Dev FPGA board.
I also don't like using voltage dividers for the TTL level translation so I'm changing that up. I will be building the pcb design from scratch once I get a good test going.
@Derick2k
No donor board yet. But will be getting one soon :-) I have a MV1C and just got a Naomi 2. Also have a Triforce coming my way.
If you have an suggestions on which A/B boards to get, please don't hesitate to fill me in. I'm very much a newbie and trying to absorb all the info I...
In regards to the HDMI I've ordered the dev board and have designed some breakout boards to test with. Not sure how good it will be. If its something that produces good results, I'll design a whole custom board to fit nicely. I have a MV1C, so it'd be designed around that.
