Blue light cover for New Net City

@twistedsymphony made an extensive research of all the different versions of the Naomi cabinets, and none of them feature a blue light cover. http://solid-orange.com/1777 Also, the original light cover makes an orange light. There is an official Red cover that came with the Tekken 5 New Net...

Weche 'Ok Baby' Arcade Cabinet Restoration

I've worked on restoring a few Jaleco Pony mk4 (the cab the OK Baby is a clone of) and it could have been a nice cab if the plastic it's made of did not become that fragile. It quickly became a nightmare to work on, as all those screw inserts broke one after the other. I don't expect the ones...

    Sega Trackball RGB LED mod

It's extremely basic, just a piece of metal with a single led holder, you screw it underneath the trackball, plug the 12V and let there be light.

    Sega Trackball RGB LED mod

I've bought a pair of Sega Trackballs coming from Sengoku Taisen cabs, they came with the LED assembly (but without the translucent balls). Unfortunately, that LED assembly makes the trackball too deep to fit inside my New Net City panel.

    Capcom IO tall feet

I've not seen it mentioned in this topic, but just a reminder that these high feet can also be used as CPS2 mounting feet. That way you can mount 2 CPS2 on top of each other and screw them both to your cab's wooden board.

    Audio issue with Cameltry PCB

Sound confirmed working after building a -5V output! 😁 Thank you guys!

    Audio issue with Cameltry PCB

There is indeed a track with components on pin 5. Guess I'll have to build a - 5V adapter to find out.

    Audio issue with Cameltry PCB

I recently bought a Cameltry board, and the game works fine but there are some audio issue. The sound effects seem to be at normal volume, but the musics are barely audible. I tried working on my cab's audio circuit, but nothing changed. Then I plugged a headset directly on the jamma audio...

    Golfing Greats 2: Split Buttons

Another pack of these buttons sold on YAJ for 18.500 JPY. It had this nice picture of the inside of the buttons and plungers.

Using spinner to play NG/JAMMA games

I don't have pics of mine right now, but it's that classic Capcom 00718-1 board for Puzz loop 2, nothing special about mine, and it works perfectly fine with that game.

Using spinner to play NG/JAMMA games

So I've got my hands on a Puzz Loop 2 CPS2 with the dedicated Capcom IO board, and I can say that, despite it working peefectly well for Puzz loop 2, the IO board absolutely does not work at all for any other system. Here is the result on MVS without touching anything, and it does not move a...

Convert Manx TT into Motor Raid?

Hey guys. We have a 4 player ManxTT Superbike setup at HFS, and thanks to Video Game Esoterica, we found out about Motor Raid, which seems to be a much more fun game for our events, so we are studying the possibility of converting the cabs. As a matter of fact, after reading the manuals...

Pop'n Music control panel for Sega cabinets

The latest arcade versions run on PC and do not require expensive hardware at all. Mine is a 2010 gaming laptop, connected to the cab's IO board with a JVSy.

    Golfing Greats 2: Split Buttons

There are some of these buttons on YAJ at the moment, with some nice pictures worth sharing: https://buyee.jp/item/yahoo/auction/v1096713027?conversionType=buyee_top_browsing_history They appear to be Sanwa screwable buttons, with two regular sanwa microswitches and 2 plungers. They are no...

Best way to extract this A-board rivet?

I remember trying to drill that rivet once. It got so hot during the process that when I accidentally touched it, I got that Capcom C letter burned clean on my finger, just like that baddy in Raiders of the Lost Ark. 😆 I managed to remove the rivet because the plastic surrounding it ultimately...
