The new board should be a LOT easier to install, the points line up better, and the edges of the board have castellated holes (contacts that wrap around the board edge). Try installing this PCB from the new kit, and if that fixes the problem ill send you a replacement.

I added castellated holes for an easier install, and threw in 2 resistors and a dual button assembly.
When successful it will verify without any problems.
If its supported by the Topall software then it should work.
Select the option that bst matches the text on your chip. In my case it was 29F400B TSOP48.
Lastly, if you still have problems, people have reported having best results with Topall...

Update: new version designed and ordered. The new version uses a flat cable and should be a lot quicker and cleaner. Ill post pics as soon as it arrives.
