    Vewlix coin mech (AD-81P3) & test/service issues.

I finally figured out what the issue was with the coin mech, and it was something just as stupid as I suspected. I was actually thankful nothing seemed to get damaged. If it was me who connected that part, it would be surprising if I didn’t notice something that obvious, so I think it may have...

That adapter’s not within reach at the moment, but after checking the manual I noticed one thing. The board that coins/test/service are plugged into has an unplugged red connector (P7) that doesn’t seem to go to anything. Could that be related?

    Vewlix coin mech (AD-81P3) & test/service issues.

I have Sega JVS I/O boards, (acquired before I knew they weren’t compatible with the cabinet) but I don’t know if they’re safe to plug in through the cab’s wiring.

Exactly. Nothing happens when I tap the button when it’s loading or in game. Tapping “SERVICE SWITCH” triggers “I/O ERROR”. https://i.imgur.com/RtbSxtc.jpg

Yes, holding it while the game starts since nothing happens when pressing either button in game. Are the test/service switches affected by any of the multi-game options like memory patches or game exit? I tried carefully disengaging the side-locks then seating the black connector as evenly and...

    Vewlix coin mech (AD-81P3) & test/service issues.

The I/O board is the latest official Taito JVS board, which finally arrived not long ago. Here’s an album with how everything is connected to the I/O, the TTX2 and the test/service panel: https://imgur.com/a/TY8pDzd Dip switch 2 is the only one in the “on” position. It’s pretty much every...

    Vewlix coin mech (AD-81P3) & test/service issues.

So I finally got a TTX2 and a multi drive running in my Vewlix F. The problem is basically that I can’t play the games because I can’t add credits or reach a service menu to enable free play. The coin mech seems to just not be powered from what I can tell. Flipping the switch with the thin...

    A Freeware Taito TypeX2 Multigame.

Oddly, the service button doesn’t seem to do anything for me. Neither does the service button. I’ve tried pressing them in game and while the game loads. The coin mech also does not seem to be powered so I wonder if it’s turned off or I’m missing some wiring or something. My JVS I/O only has...

    A Freeware Taito TypeX2 Multigame.

Thanks! I looked there, but I guess I still somehow missed it. Is there any way to get into a game’s service menu or put it into free play? And is it possible to send Alt-F4 through a USB port?

    A Freeware Taito TypeX2 Multigame.

I just got this working in my cabinet and loved it! I just wondered a couple of things, since I couldn’t actually add credits to play until I have the right coins. Is there a manual for features somewhere? Is there a way to enable free play or enter a game’s service menu? What is the game exit...

Positive Feedback For brisketnbulgogi (Vewlix V.Select Panel)

None of the components are wired to anything yet. The "eventually" I mentioned there still hasn't happened. My Taito JVS board would need to arrive before I could hook up the TTX2 unit that the components are for. I am not entirely sure how the amp hooks up, or whether it's even intended to...

    Positive feedback for Dreygor

I wanted to share feedback on a friendly and communicative buying experience. The seller was very responsive about a purchase of Type X2 parts. All parts arrived with very sturdy and thick packing, and looked to be in very good condition upon arrival. Questions were answered in a timely manner...

SEGA IO adapter for Vewlix cabinets

Nice! So they're basically out-of-production treasures that you snagged? That's actually pretty nifty. I may have had similar "just barely snagged one" fortune with getting a genuine Vewlix F instruction panel. It sucks if they ran out, but it I was still very glad to get one. I think it may...

SEGA IO adapter for Vewlix cabinets

Is an interest check only for "I definitely will buy one of those immediately when it's ready", or is it just to literally check interest in an eventual or likely purchase? Some people may need to check if they can snag a Taito I/O in the next batch before knowing if they'll need the adapter...
