Update: took a dremel with a wire brush and gently brushed away the corrosion. I used rubbing alcohol and Qtips to clean off what i could. Sweet! Any advice for cleaning off the corrosion?

I assume the best way to figure that out would be to ohm them from the roms to the pinout that connects them to the mother board?

Im familiar with infinikey! I have some on a couple boards. Ill take a look at the forums and see how to go about setting the chips.

The cps2 board itself im not keen on restoring. The daughter board the other roms are attached to would be what id like to keep. From the way this was set up, slots 25-26 arent used, so as long as i clean the corrosion up it should still be usable right?

The daughter board looks salvageable, but id like a second opinion. I got all the roms out that i think i need to transfer to a new board, which i also need some info on how to do. Can i use any board or does it have to be a japan board like this one? Thanks in advance!

Ok, and once theres power the pc should see it? I dont have a supergun to use with this so the only time i get the LED to turn on, is when a controller it can recognize is plugged in. Im just using the 5 volt terminal to send power to it.

So idk if im missing something in the thread, but im trying to update the firmware on my undamned decoder (pcb with the terminal blocks) without a supergun. Is that possible?

Just wanted to put an update on the issue. The problem was voltage. The PSU read 5 volts but there was a .5 voltage drop to the jamma edge. I raised the power and it works, but now I have 2 MoBo's cuz I bought one after troubleshooting lol. I didn't even think there would be a voltage issue like...
