    My build of Capcom BigBlue

Yea the cab is put together with wood blocks screwed and glued from the inside as I didn't want screw heads on the outside, everything is glued and screwed even the control panel as I didn't want it falling to bits or wobbling over time the control panel is separate though it comes off leaving...

    My build of Capcom BigBlue

Yea good quality 18mm plywood, there is a lot rubbish out there I went for what we call in the UK construction grade plywood able to take a lot of weight and doesn't separate with changing conditions, I read a lot of horror stories about a guy who use general purpose plywood and he had many...

    My build of Capcom BigBlue

Yea I was going to go down the laminate route but the trouble with that is if you scratch it or damage it the whole panel needs to be replaced that's why I opted for paint, rustins asap paint was very good and it's the closest I could find to the original colour, went on very easy, one problem I...

    My build of Capcom BigBlue

Most of my measurements came from the model they had on Sketchup, the control panel I had to use my own set of measurements because I wanted it wider so 2 players could play comfortably without being crammed this was the problem I had with the my sf2ce hs1 DYNAMO CAB the control panel is to small.

    My build of Capcom BigBlue

Hey sorry for the long reply I put in this (see photos) 3 pin pc style socket with a filter its location is on the lower board on the left, I thought a socket was easier than having a cable permanently hardwired in. Also I used 13cm Alpine car speakers for this build they came with a template...

    CPS2 Suicide Free Modchip

I can mate but usually ssf2 nc comes on a rev 3 or 4 board which means no CN9 connector, instead you will have to solder the chip wires to the cn2 connector like someone has done here, i have the same board as you and i soldered header pins on so i could use my cable.

Thought i would try something different, quick release mod chips to de suicide a board these chips are ridiculously cheap so bought a few, with the help of some chip sockets i can mount the chip in the holder and place it in my custom cable, I've coded 7 chips already for some of my most used...

The Definitive Guide to CPS2 Conversions

Yes i tried running them against phoenix roms and no luck, the only roms to verify were 3 and 4 which where avalanche roms which would be right as it didn't originally have a battery, even when i split an orignal Asia roms set they didnt verify. New Fatal Fury / Garou

Fatal fury games were awsome...in fact was there ever a bad Snk game? Like capcom snk were the gods of 2D. Talking of reboots, what I'm hoping for is a Virtua Fighter reboot.

CPSII CE multi occasional boot issue

Yea if a cps2 freezes at the boot test screen or keeps reseting its usually a power supply issue, had this on my dynamo cab i was seeing a good 5v at the edge connector under load yet every so often the game wouldn't boot, turned out my power supply had bulged caps, put a new one in and never...

Today I worked on lots o’ cabs! (The CRT porn thread)

Those B&K 467 Rejuvenators are the best if they can't bring a tube back then nothing will, got one my self after the tube in my sf2 cab died, brought it back and 3 year later still works fine, the tube has so many hours on it that even big ben would look on with envy.

The Definitive Guide to CPS2 Conversions

Yes it will, the only issue i found with the t56 is on some of the 27c322s that are getting on a bit they don't programme to well, well they do you can get around it by adjusting the write voltage, you usually know if a chip is going to be pain to programme by how long it takes to erase, i had 2...
