I figured it out, contacted the place I bought it from and I had the new flyback wires mixed up. Swapped them correctly and the problem is gone.

So I've done this and just did it again. Nothing really changes when I adjust the screen pot, when I turn it down it just goes black. I just noticed that the screen pot wiggles like a tooth that's about to come out and has a sound like oil down inside it. Maybe it's a bad aftermarket flyback?

My K7000 flyback was cracked and leaking so I decided to replace it. I figured while I did that I'd recap it also. When I plugged it back in the video is mostly white, I can see the image but it's really bad. Not sure what I messed up. The picture I attached is actually the neo geo splash...
