    CPS2 sound issues

Yeah, better forget CW2500 epoxy overcoat that some people use to repair pads, good old JB Weld actually works better. While CW is said to stand 600F = 315C max minute, its meant for protective layer and can get jelly like even when soldering with under 300C, not holding pads so well, while JB...

    CPS2 sound issues

stt1 dropped the board to me as I have lot of experience fixing boards in bad shape. Tinned copper sheet from one side, sliced it. Cut slices to pads and glued them with epoxy (jb weld handles 300C once cured), tape over to hold them. I used hot plate set to 85C to cure the epoxy in 2 hours...

New compression spring for Sega OutRun shifter?

Spring was in two pieces. I found bit longer but smaller diameter spring that seems to work fine. Ordered different sized springs from china so I can set it up better later.

New compression spring for Sega OutRun shifter?

i bought Sega OutRun cabaret (mini standup) after shifter just and just stays low gear. It looks like the compression spring kr-1320 does not push the ball against hole in the cover hard enough and needs replacement. I dont seem to find original part anywhere, so does anyone know the...

ST-V multicart game selector with LCD screen

Sorry, I somehow missed this. You can pm me. And one thing to everyone. Always take out the arduino from the board when programming just to be sure. And remember to put it back to right position (socket is 32 pin and arduino 30) or at least remove connections to the multicart, especially the...

ST-V multicart game selector with LCD screen

If anyone has problems with selector, even bought from stt or secondhand, you can contact me and I'll try to help. I'm not here often, my spare time goes now more fixing retro computers etc and I tend to hang around other forums, but you can often find me from skype using name Miiikkas ( yes...

ST-V multicart game selector with LCD screen

Just to update to everyone interested. It looked like faulty 4066 chip was pulling arduino IO pins low, so the selection pins were shit and also it had already burned the D11 and D12 pins. Could be bad batch of 4066 or voltage spike in 5V line shitting them. So this is probably 4 dollars fix...

ST-V multicart game selector with LCD screen

Well, of course the next thing is to measure if the reset line in the selector drops to ground. If you don't have scope, you can still measure it using multimeter. Just change the source code a bit and reprogram the arduino. There is #define DELAY_RESET 100 in the source. That is...

ST-V multicart game selector with LCD screen

Ok, it's so long time I designed the selector board and I don't have the schemas right now in my had, but reset signal should go through the 4066 chips under the lcd (4066 are just used as switches and it will ground the signal). If those are in sockets, swap the two. I did have few faulty 4066...

    CRT Rejuvenator

I only have three cabs but I time to time get requests for CRT repairs and also now I'm interested in cab that looks like it has short in the tube (could be something else too) so I think it's time to get rejuvenator. ST-V multicart game selector with LCD screen

Nope, I didn't widen it up, so that the 3D print models would still work. But as two of the legs are ok ja the others work just using double side tape or drop of hot glue. It wasn't originally meant to be installed on the board, it was just "accident" that the spacing is almost same :)

ST-V multicart game selector with LCD screen

One addition to your list is that I'm using chinese arduino clones that don't have ftdi usb to serial chip but ch340 chip. So step one (if you don't have linux with that driver): Google ch340 <operating system you are using> driver... install it first. EDIT: And yes, it would be possible to...

ST-V multicart game selector with LCD screen

"flashing" the firmware = download arduino ide and follow the manual from page 7. For the processor part, there are some selector with Atmege168 instead of Atmega328 shown in the manual. If wrong processor is selected the upload just won't work.
