Universal replacement raster monitor PCB that's more flexible and reliable

There's been some pretty incredible boards made for building or upgrading vector monitors in recent years but has anyone thought of designing a new raster board? File this idea under "easy for you to suggest" as I'm incapable of designing one myself therefore I wouldn't be the one doing the...

I already have one but may be up for a second just to have a spare or put with a second board set I have.

Getting around the Arcadia Super Select System protection scheme

I've got one of the Arcadia System System boards, Leaderboard Golf in my case and I was wonder if anyone has any suggestions for getting around the protection scheme so as to convert cards. For those unfamiliar it is a arcade game system built around an Amiga 400 (or 500?) computer motherboard...

Sega System C2 conversions: all games patched and released

I'd LOVE to know how to do it too, I've got a couple of Columns boards and I want to convert one to Borench, all the other games are OK but that's the only one I'm really wanting to have so I don't need a multi. Soldering and doing board mods doesn't scare me if I have instructions but I don't...

    Tecmo Ninja Gaiden pcb schematics

I could use the schematic too, I have a board if I recall was missing some colors, has lines through some of the graphics and player one can't move right.

Sega System C2 conversions: all games patched and released

Ok here's another dumb question: Does anyone know how to set the jumpers on a Columns board for larger EPROMs like a 27c2001, 27c020 or 27c2048? Turns out of course the EPROMs used for Columns are smaller than those of Borench, and I can't seem to find info on this board's jumper settings anywhere.

    Horizontal/vertical image rotating PCB

Perhaps I'm thinking all wrong here, maybe the route to go is instead of having an external PCB to alter the signal there should be a replacement monitor chassis that alters the way it's displayed by the way the coils are handled? Move around the coil connections and alter their inputs...

    Horizontal/vertical image rotating PCB

This might be a stupid idea as I don't know enough about video signals to know if it's feasible, but would it be possible to make a PCB that can flip, rotate and adjust video images so like a horizontal game can fit on a vertical, and vice versa, etc? It would be terrific if there was an option...

Sega System C2 conversions: all games patched and released

Awesome, thanks! Probably a stupid question as I think you answered it already but I thought I'd double check before I waste the time and money if I misunderstood.

Sega System C2 conversions: all games patched and released

So can Borench be installed on a Columns PCB without any hackery? It's a tough game but I like it and wouldn't mind having it in my collection.

Yeah, it's simply called "Test Tape" and the ROM files are available for and supported by MAME, I let them know this on KLOV and I think they're looking into it.

I'm definitely still interested! What's the status of this at the moment? Is it still in beta testing? I don't think I'm up to being a beta tester but I want to make sure I don't miss my chance to get one of these.

    DECO Multigame

Nothing wrong with that! :D Not that there's something wrong with emulation, but in my opinion anyway using original hardware is always preferable when possible unless it's a horrible design or impossible to get.

    DECO Multigame

What's awesome about this is it's just a ROM loader and not emulation, you're still using real DECO hardware minus the crappy cassettes!

    DECO Multigame

I may buy 2 of the multi's depending on price. I believe I have a spare set of DECO boards around without the back plain, maybe we can work something out if you do take on doing an FPGA? At least one of the boards doesn't work as it actually has a hole burnt through it, but all the chips and...

Ever consider doing an FPGA for the main boards? :D They're tough to find and getting expensive as hell!

    DECO Multigame

Dumb question: Will it also work in single game mode? In other words be set to boot to one game and run like a dedicated board? Also, not to be a pest but any "guess-timates" on the final price yet? Money is tight but if at all possible I want to be able to jump on this as soon as it's available.
