    Blast City incorrect screen

Of course, take your time. My SPC pot cracked and the screen looks wonky now. I found a similar 2.2k pot from a supply company. Should be here next week and I’ll pop it in and see what happens.

    Blast City incorrect screen

Did you ever find a replacement for those pots? The SPC pot on mine is labeled 222 which I believe is 2.2 KOhms but I can’t find a good match

Let's Connect a PC to an Arcade Cab, Shall we??!!

Just to add a note here for anyone starting out with this: There’s a thread on this forum about GroovyArcade here which allows you to just use your arcade monitor. No need for a separate flat screen when setting things up.

Let's Connect a PC to an Arcade Cab, Shall we??!!

https://ultimatemister.com/product/mister-vga-to-composite-s-video/ There’s a few of these types around. On mister you have to adjust the sync-on-green and something else in the .ini. There are specific s-video cores that some use, I do not and it works great. I’ve heard the actual composite...

Let's Connect a PC to an Arcade Cab, Shall we??!!

Mister can display the proper resolution for its arcade cores through s-video. I’m assuming groovymame can do so using the same adapter. I can attempt it when I have some time and report back.

Let's Connect a PC to an Arcade Cab, Shall we??!!

What’s easier? Trinitron RGB mod or enabling groovymame through s-video? Edit: you’ve sent me down a rabbit hole on this one. I think I have one of the models capable of modding, but need to check tomorrow

Let's Connect a PC to an Arcade Cab, Shall we??!!

Any idea how to get groovymame running on an S-video trinitron? This probably a very specific question, but I have a GroovyArcade PC that’s worked great in arcade cabs with a jpac and just recently acquired the trinitron. I have a mister vga to s-video adapter that works for Fpga but not when...

Blast City yellow screen/image tear after startup

Yep, you guys were right about the front connecting cables. The unplugged and plugged back in the right side cable and adjusted the center one. I remounted two of the cables on the a wire fitting that should alleviate some stress on the connection. The wide one on the far right does stay very...

    Nanao MC-2000-S missing color

I seem to have messed up the monitor a little further trying to reflow some solder on a neck board transistor. Not sure what I did, but it’s super bright, like the voltage is way too high and I can’t turn it down. So I think I’ve made it worse. I’ll update this thread with some pictures, but I...

Blast City yellow screen/image tear after startup

Hi there, I have a Blast City MS29, manual switching chassis that displays a yellow tint and some odd artifacts when cold. I can increase the frequency of this by applying pressure to the control panel or just heavily stepping around the room, causing some vibration. It seems to peak at about...

    Nanao MC-2000-S missing color

Blue. The missing color is blue, which is shown in the attachment photos. This is the original monitor from an old Pengo cocktail cab. So a few years ago, I sent this chassis off to the usual place to get it fixed and they returned it, supposedly with a cap kit installed, saying they didn’t...

    Blast City General Questions

Yes, is there a way to run the cab with monitor and lights going on a mame rig without turning on the power supply (DC) itself? I’ve done it with a New net city and got advice on how to do it with an Astro, it just involves disconnecting a quick disconnect in the chain somewhere. The reason...

    Blast City General Questions

Is there a way to run a blast without the power supply going, like if I was running a mame rig on it? And, in that case, would the CN13 hookup on the I/O still transfer power?

    Blast City Speaker Replacement

Thanks. I think the route to go is to get two 6 pin connectors, one with two jamma mono wires and the other with the four stereo pins. This way it would be impossible to have both connected at once, since they take the place of each other, and I’m guessing is how the 001 loom functions...

    Blast City Speaker Replacement

I’m a bit late on this, but is there any guide to hacking the jamma harness on a blast to switch between stereo and mono? Basically creating a 001 loom?
