    Q412 was fried as well, using the bulb between colector and ground worked Latest verdict: new fake HOT or short downstream

    Update: Q412 was changed for a new, just in case. D402 was good R456 open D401 was shorted on the right diode (between Q412 Col and D401 anode) after changing D401 and R456, power-on instantly blew R456 Verdict: something short in the horizontal deflection circuit

    will check D401, The FMV-3GMR and the plastic capa C416 / C417 and R417. I noticed on the underneath of the pcb, traces of heating from power supply all the way to the HOT Firstly nearby R810/C810 then on the secondary at R842 and Q827 more intensely again on the secondary near the P901...

    Dear @Mukuro_W I installed a new hot which instantly got fried so i really want to identify the othe component that causes that. In summary overheat -> HOT gets bad and fries something else that will in turn short the HOT again.... thanks again for your help

    HOTD/VC2 definatly uses the CRT. Model 3 and after used IR LEDs Twisted symphony made an awsome article on Light guns his blog :thumbsup:

    Not sure you can use a light gun on a display, though CRT, after the GBS has changed output frequecy from 25 to 31KHz but would be interested in the outcome if you still wanna try
