No change. Still does not boot on PHAT with either version of the EPROM and BIOS. X/

Ok, so I bought some caps and soldered them on. But I would like confirmation that they are installed correctly before I apply power. I don't want to roast Brent's Proto kit. I assume one end of each cap goes to ground, so I located a couple ground pads, and then connected the other ends to the...

Check the 4118 RAM's (Mostek MK4801) on your BIO PCB's. Bet the legs are corroding right off them.

Well now we're getting somewhere. Those numbers/values equal '33pF' and '1.5nF', correct? However, the layout and traces on the beta version are different than your picture above (production unit), so where would I place them on this beta unit? Maybe you have a beta version you modified that...

Burned some new 2732 BIOS chips and confirmed working on both my SLIM and PHAT stacks 8o Brentradio's PHAT stack however, runs with glitches and reboots with the new code on my dongle, similar to what Hamster experienced. My dongle when loaded with the old code runs fine on his PHAT, though...

Just went and checked my EPROM burner and I think I had one DIP set wrong when burning copies of the new BIOS :cursing: Burned (3) copies and they all triple verified, but if the DIP is off on the burner, that will definitely fuck shit up. Will reburn new BIOS and report back. Still need a...

I tried the new 2732 BIOS on my SLIM stack and it also fails to boot. Yellow and white garbage screen, button inputs produce no change (same as PHAT). Switching back to the old DW mod BIOS and kit EPROM still works fine on both my stacks, so no hardware issues.

Grabbed these files and burned everything to chips only to realize the BIOS file is 2x too large... <X Both styles of cages, PHAT and SLIM, use 2716 BIOS EPROMs. Your new BIOS is a 2732, which does not boot on either style. I tried them anyway, even though the pinout is slightly different...

    4-slot?

That would be amazing! It looks like a very cool game. Not sure if the extra chips on the expansion PCB are just for addressing the extra EPROM's on the board, or if they provide any logic. But my photos clearly show the identity of each IC (74ls245, 74ls175, etc) so they could be emulated in...

    4-slot?

Evidently one game, 'Explorer' used this expansion PCB in the 4th slot. I have it, and would love to try the 'Explorer' ROM using the Multi with it - but it's a very rare PCB for an already rare system - so adding it would be silly unless it's really simple...

    Jamma?

I don't recall, but I am inclined to say 'yes.' I remember when I first hooked up my SLIM using the documented pinouts, the video was all scrambled. Reversed the plug on the video connector and it became apparent the documented info was incorrect. Then when it came time to do the PHAT conversion...

    Jamma?

It is pretty straightforward to JAMMA-tize DECO stacks. As Mitsu likely encountered though, the video pinouts shown in documentation are backwards. For the SLIM stack, I mostly used spare Molex connectors I had on-hand, and a 50p IDE-style cable for control connections. For the PHAT stack...

    DECO Multigame

Truly exciting news! I am a dear friend of Mr. Wood, who has indeed moved across country. It seems I may be picking up the torch for him back here in Minnesota on this project, and I anxiously await it's completion! One of the most well-deserved and needed multi's to (nearly) reach fruition -...
