FS Joko3 Personalized Japan Proxy Buying Services Are Back

I rather they waste space than under protect too. But they put the packets with chips at the bottom, which would be more likely to be damaged from the weight up top. So they didn't even do that right. It's like how they love to ship mechanical harddrive back in the day. Put the HDD at the very...

FS Joko3 Personalized Japan Proxy Buying Services Are Back

Was this from Buyee? I also had issues with wasted space with From Japan, but not to this level.

MVS 2 slot and PCMCIA SRAM Card compatibility

I looked it up the item. http://fujisoki.industrialpartner.com/products-b/bs128g1-cz-13.htm and various other areas, so far didn't say if it's for any proprietary device. But it doesn't fit, and there should be a reason, so I wouldn't try to defeat the physical barrier and try to use it...

MVS 2 slot and PCMCIA SRAM Card compatibility

hmm, it looks like yours have a small notch on the "right" edge if you point the connector side towards yourself. it's "thinner". This might be a physical feature that is intended to block incompatible cards. This might be a 32 bit card? I can try my other 2 slots and see. But it's pretty...

MVS 2 slot and PCMCIA SRAM Card compatibility

I have the Apoclypse version already anyways, I just saw it for cheap so I picked it up. For some reason these cards fetch around $100 or more since I started looking a few years ago. Would you mind posting a pic of a third party cards that fit in your MV-2F?

MVS 2 slot and PCMCIA SRAM Card compatibility

So I picked up a PCMCIA 128kb SRAM card hoping to use it on my MVS 2 slot. It physically won't fit all the way into the slot. Comparing it to the Apocalypse version, the edges aren't "notched" in, so I think it's blocking it from being fully inserted. I've attached some pics to show the...

Clear indication we need someone like Joko3 who can pack things properly for us.

Joko Re-Introduction, YAJ/Akiba Shopping Service Offer (CLOSED as of 8/21/23)

This seems to be the trend recently, I wonder if they're doing this on purpose to some how make more money? I got hit with doubled the shipping cost ($100+ turned into $200+) due to this stupid excessively large box issue. Read 2 stories about Buyee, From Japan myself, and another I think it...

    PVM-8040 V. linearity adjustment maxed

Just to close the loop, I recapped the D Board and linearity issue was resolved. I ran into a V lock issue after recapping where it won't V lock and just kept scrolling. Turns out during recap I nicked the D501 diode responsible for V sync. Replacing that fixed the V lock issue.

    PVM-8040 V. linearity adjustment maxed

I see it in one of your posts! It seems perfect for testing. Thank you for the shopping service btw, I might have some questions for you later in PM on that if you don't mind.

    PVM-8040 V. linearity adjustment maxed

If it's side scrolling mostly, it looks sort of ok. But vertical shooter or vertical movement makes things shrink and grow as they move around, can be a bit distracting.

    PVM-8040 V. linearity adjustment maxed

I hope this is the right place to ask questions about PVM servicing and adjustments. I picked up a PVM-8040, which is an 8" lower end PVM with no service menu I believe. All the geometry adjustments are done with pots. I pulled up the grid using 240p suite, and the squares at the bottom are...

    MiSTer FPGA

I had one that wouldn't display HDMI on the FPGA side, on the linux/HPS side, it would. I ran through a bunch of tests with Terasic for 2 weeks and concluded it was bad. Not sure if you're interested, but there are test points on the board, you can test for their impedance value while powered...

    MiSTer FPGA

That's a good compromise, I had thought about something similar, but I only have RGB scart cables for other systems. It was for use with OSSC. My current CRT only takes component lol, what a mess. I do have Mike's RGB2Comp coming, so maybe I can do it that way. A long daisy chain of...

    MiSTer FPGA

I'm waiting for Seibu core for Raiden DX. But it doesn't seems like it's happening any time soon, only saw Raiden 1 beta on youtube.

    MiSTer FPGA

I can test the voltage on pin 13 when I get my IO board, it'll be directly off the VGA connector. I don't have a vga to scart to test on the scart side.

    MiSTer FPGA

Ah, so that answers the RGB and component wiring question, they're the same. The question of why there are't fully shielded cables for MiSTer or the lack of interest in "demanding" such cable remains. Maybe because Bob said any generic cable is good enough. Why fully shielded cable are so...

    MiSTer FPGA

Thanks for the link. But I'm looking for component on the CRT end, not SCART. Does the BNC cable go to the same pins on the dsub side? So it's just a matter of MiSTer switching to component out instead of RGB? Probably not.

    MiSTer FPGA

Could be. But I find it curious that the MiSTer is known for it's accuracy, so you'd think people scrutinize and pixel peeping over an arcade PCB or consoles with RGB mod, would do the same for MiSTer. Not so, just generic cables.
