Try 8mm. There should be no movement.
Manual says 10mm, maybe the original screw is bit different? IDK, guess I will use 8mm or washer.

These are self tapping screws unlike the machine screws with captive washers on the versus/net city, etc.
They should work but perhaps there are shavings/crap inside existing threads causing them to not bottom out. I would try and clean/blow out the holes first. If that does not work then you could try adding washers or using shorter self rappers. You just want to make sure the hinge still closes without binding against the other side of the hinge on the CP housing.
