I was getting "Coin Error" message after every flash because my coin mech was reporting as jammed. A few pushes of the reject button solved it.

Not sure if I'm using the correct word but I'm referring the physical coin mechanism on my Astro city sending a signal to the board that it is jammed. I pressed the coin reject/return button a few times and it cleared the sensor allowing the system to boot without issue.

I get coin error on my F3 without the multi.

I have a Supergun and if I try to use a controller that the Supergun/F3 doesn't like it will throw a coin error.

I get this on final blow as well, an older taito game.

Just adding my experience for anyone searching Taito and coin error.

I have the same use case with HAS Supergun+Undamned USB Encoder+Brook UFB. I just reset the game which is a terrible resolution. I wonder if the actual coin reset buton on a cab has a non-intrusive behavior not requiring a reset.
