Hi Niko, I tried a few more times, disconnecting and connecting and I get nothing in your multi. So I plugged in a Tatsunoko vs Capcom game instead and looked in the Test mode at the inputs. It was working in that with the exception of button 4 (kick 1), which seems to be permanetly 'on'. So I'm not sure if your multi doesnt like it if a button is constantly pressed when it boots up? Anyway, so at least I know what's wrong with the I/O board now, but no idea if that's fixable?

Unfortunately, I'm not getting anything now It powers up, I get red LED1 lit up on the IO, but then nothing works in the TTX2 multi setup Niko - stick and buttons not working. Oh well, it must be properly fried.

Yes, sorry, I had a brain freeze moment, I meant JVS I/O. I've updated the post title. I am now using a Sega I/O with Vewlix adaptor from Arthrimus so I know the issue is the board and not the button, cable or connector. Thanks

Hi all, I've got a Taito USB I/O (K91X1097C) I wanted to use with my TTX2 but one of the buttons isnt working when it's connected. I think it's one of the kick buttons. Does anyone know how I might go about repairing it. It cost me £180 so I dont want to scrap it. Thanks

Quick update. I just need the 24pin power connected to the Lindbergh mobo (CN1) for the whole system to work correctly. Without using that power connector to the mobo, the IO doesn’t get power. Which seems strange, I didn’t think the 2 were connected, seeing as all other cab features power up fine without it. How has anyone else with a Lindy got a different system powered up and working? Feels like I might need to use the Lindy PSU to power a different system?

When I switch systems I’m powering the other systems separately, not through the Lindbergh PSU, as I don’t have an adaptor to power them through it. But I’m leaving that connected and not touching anything else, as I know that powers the rest of the cab. As I’m writing this, I’m guessing that’s the problem, does one of the 2 power connections that I plug into the Lindbergh mobo also provide power out to the IO?

Hi all, I've got a Lindbergh Universal cab and when I play a Lindbergh multi using the proper power connectors, the Sega Type 3 IO board powers up and works just fine. I've tried different JVS systems - RingEdge 2, TTX2, but when I connect the USB JVS cable, they give a 'no IO error' as I can see the IO board is no longer receiving power. Ideally I want to keep the RingEdge 2 in there. First question - what power adaptor would I need for the standard Lindbergh PSU to run the RingEdge? Secondly, …

  • Hi all, I’m about to do the same thing to my Lindbergh. I’ve got a question about game resolution - what will an original Lindbergh or RingEdge game look like on a 1080p monitor? Does it scale up ok or cause any problem with performance?

  • I’d be interested in one of these. Are they still for sale?

  • Interestingly, since I modified the h/v sync for CPS2, everything else works with these settings (other PCB's, CPS3, Namco 246/256 etc), I dont need to adjust the pots again to get a stable picture. Happy days. The only thing I've noticed is brightness differences across different systems. It's a real pain to get to the monitor controls on the standard Dinoking monitor, is there a guide anywhere to swapping the controls anywhere?

  • Yes, that was it, thanks. Annoyingly I'd have to modify the sync for different systems. Thanks for the help.

  • Hoefully someone can help. I converted a Dinoking cab recently and it all works great with Retropie. I recently bought original CPS3 hardware and that works great too. I then bought a load of CPS2 hardware and Neogeo64 and a handful of other systems (that support 15Khz) but the picture is messed up. See the screens below. They are fully working as I get sounds, controls, coin etc, but the image is scrambled. Any ideas? It's strange, as the Raspberry Pi and CPS3 hardware display prefectly. Any id…

  • I got it to work, I needed to put the 256 in 246+ mode

  • Hi, did you get Basara X Cross working? I have a similar issue. I’ve got a System 256, Capcom Fighting Jam works but SBX Cross doesn’t - black screen and no sound. I just bought it and was told it was working. Do you have to put it into 246+ mode to work? Thanks

  • Thanks for the speedy response. I’ll give it a go

  • I’m in the UK, what do I do with the earth/ground cable, just ignore it?

  • Perfect, thank you
