@nem do you happen to have the neck board and/or any main board pot values handy as well? Might as well put them here for posterity if you do, please.

Not at hand, no. I'll try to remember to check the next time I'm working on one of these chassis.

I need the pot values for the main board as I think a couple of mine are malfunctioning and in need of replacement.

Thank you. I also confirmed it by reading the numbers off of the pots. I think mine needs replacing. It’s hard to find exact values for the 3k and 30k. Would it be okay if I used 5k and 50k instead for those?

i changed out my vr1 pot with a 100k and this is what i got. the pot broke before so i needed to replace it, but the geometry was pretty close to being on point. are you sure that value is correct? is it something else causing this?

I can check tomorrow, but I'm pretty sure that's correct.

You only replaced the pot, nothing else? You desoldered the vertical PCB to work on it? Double checked the solder joints after putting it back?

ya that was all i did. i double checked my work up close with a camera too to be sure

104 = 10 0000 = 100k

Try tapping the chassis, see if it returns to normal at any point.

This chassishas had enough banging around on its way to me. It showed up on the floor with the focus and ground wires ripped out of it and the demag connection sheered off. I got it working after soldering the wires back but after changing the pot i think it just gave up on life. Im gonna have to send it out for repair cuz it's beyond my troubleshooting capability now.
