Hey,

On this thread I cleared out some issues regarding my current JAMMA connection https://www.arcade-projects.com/for...-cps2-into-mvs-1-slot-jamma.10440/post-168764

But one question remain. Currently all 6 buttons on my cab are plugged into the JAMMA connector and it works for Neo Geo (4 buttons) and the Pandora Box (6 buttons). However, I'm in need of a Kick Harness for other systems (CPS2). Can I leave all 6 buttons connected to the jamma AND split 3 of those wires (buttons 4,5,6) to the actual kick harness?

As far as I understand, it should not damage any components but this is my first cab ever and I still have a long way to go understanding such things.

Comments?

Thanks!

Should not damage anything, button on most Jamma games the pin you now used for button 6 is ground.
So if you splice button 6 for a kick harness for CPS2, you are actually tying this to ground and button 6 will register as being pressed always.

So either disconnect it, or add a switch in between do disable it from the Jamma edge
