What's new
Just reburn P1 and SP2 onto eproms
The mask roms are starting to go bad now.
Because it verifies does not mean it can operate fast enough / under more stress.

Yeah, thats my plan.
Waiting for eproms from china now though which is taking a long time.

Well, finally got my roms from China, burned P1 and it started working right away!

Think I'm going to transplant the ROMs back to the original PCB again, since I'm using a donor prog board right now, and I've isolated the issue.
Always good to have the repair use the prog board with the correct labeling...

So now it works well, but it fails the unibios CRC check for one of the roms...
Guess I'll EP rom replace the other P rom as well and see if that fixes that...

some other day.

Happy enough for today.

Never mind, looks like everything is fine. I have the same CRC as this dude:http://www.neo-geo.com/forums/showthread.php?171788-Waku-Waku-7-Universe-Bios-CRC-check

Guess I just have an old unibios.
Nice!

Then everything works great!

The CRC checks are fiddly as is. If the cart connector is dirty, or even slightly misaligned, I’ve had failed CRC checks when the game plays perfectly. Reseat the cart and suddenly it passes.

In this case it was just an old Unibios. The CRT of the cart matches the one in that thread exactly, so I guess its just a ROM variation of waku waku 7 :)
Glad it worked out.
