Update for SEGA System 16B.

All the 470uF caps, 5 of them in total, aren't labelled with an identifier. Probably as the caps are so large and obstruct the silkscreen.

Anyhow, I'm performing a recap now and here are the identifiers for the 470uF if you want to add them to the spreadsheet.

Thank you very much, indeed I wasn't able to read the identifiers due to the cap dimensions and when I recapped my board I totally forgot to check them! X/

This project has some extremely valuable info found nowhere else. Please post it at archive.org eventually for posterity :D
thank you, I never tried to use archive.org I don't know how it works with the updates at the moment. The actual list doesn't cover all the consoles and PCBs I own I'm planning to add everything soon then I'll have less updates to eventually add to archive.org

Another one for you to add, @sk8er000

wow that's an interesting one it's also on my "to buy list".
I'll add ASAP with the usual layout.

Thanks for sharing

There's two different PCB revisions there. The top one is the newest revision and probably most common / popular.

The identifiers I took straight from the PCB, so things like CB1 aren't a typo, just how it's printed on the PCB.

Midway T-Board Mortal Kombat 2

Main board
13x 10uf 25v (axial)

Memory expansion
4x 10uf 25v (axial)

Sound board
1x 2200uf 16v normal
1x 220uf 16v normal
3x 100uf 25v normal
10x 10uf 25v (axial)
1x 47uf 25v (axial)

Those axials seem to be pretty hard to come by these days, so I am just going to replace them with normal high quality caps and insulate those long legs if needed.

1x 47uf 25v (axial)
This one (C2 in schemantics) was same kind of 10uf 25v on my Sound board, so I am going to go with 10uf cap with it. Can some one else confirm what kind of cap they have there? Schemantics say it should be 47uf 25v.

Sound Board, MK2, cap on place C2. It's under the heat shield, third axial from the EPROMS

Third one on this picture of mine which I already re-capped with vertical caps:

Here's mine, it looks to be a 10uf like the others?

I have a question for you, I'm getting ready to recap my MK2 as well, should I replace those three yellow Axial Film caps or leave the originals?

OK, so it seems they went with 10uf 25v on there too.

Those film caps don't usually have liquids in them, so they tend to be pretty solid. I did not change mine. Of course if you have those laying around it does not hurt to change them too.

Little note, for the PCBs that I don't own where not reported I temporarily put the most common (for dimensions) capacitor I usulally find on PCB if someone found that a suggested model is wrong please let me know.
For this specific PCB I wasn't able to find a suitable 19uF 16v if someone know the model please let me know

Thank you

Ahh that's a typo on my behalf, sorry!

CB3 is a 10uF 16V

So sorry about that, typing on my phone.

Checked it over and it's error free now. :)
