What's new
@Derick2k Nah I haven't messaged them yet. I figured I would hit up the homies here first.

Yeah I wish I could put them in Xbox 360 mode and leave em there. I use the Xbox home key as a game exit button and they don't seem to work in the Xbox one mode.

Yeah its silly that they give you a manual option to select type but dont make it defined to stay in that mode until you change it. Lets write up that we needs a firmware update to correct for this :)

@Arthrimus

This is my control panel for my Chewlix. I have to build a Taito Vewlix harness from scratch but I wanted to make sure of the pin-out first.

My question is does the pinout from the Vewlix manual still match how you have your PCB laid out?

My concerns are mainly with buttons 7 and 8 and do they still correspond to Brooks layout?

If it matches one for one that's awesome, and I am on the right road :)

Hello,

so my solution for getting a ground connection to button 7 is a mirroring wire that is mostly used to mirror button 4 to button 7 to play MVS.

i mirror the ground wire from button 4.

In my pictures for those wondering I'm using 2 mirror wires, one to mirror the ground wire from button 4 to button 7 as i explained and the other is to mirror the actual button 4 to button 7 for MVS playing , its as easy as disconnecting the gray wire (button 7) and connecting that extra mirror wire that hanging.

So i got some guy from France to do the wire for me and its now available on his ebay post. (Your welcome lol) for those who want some.

@Arthrimus

I am trying to do this (see below) with my sub-panel but it does not seem like the Brook(s) UFB are seeing any of the button pushes.

P1 COIN [15] --> P1 BACK
P2 COIN [16] --> P2 BACK
P1 SERVICE [17] --> P1 Xbox Button
P2 SERVICE [18] --> P2 Xbox Button
Test [21]--> R3
Tilt [22] --> L3

That's not how the buttons are wired to the Console I/O. If you want to connect those buttons you need to wire them to the header on the Console I/O PCB labeled "Auxiliary Buttons." Look at the back of the PCB, it has the pinout listed directly on the silkscreen. The connector is a 6 pin JST XH.

For L3 and R3 you have to connect those to the J4 header on the brook UFB. That connector should be a 4 pin JST PH 2.0.

does anyone swap their single player and two player control panels out with this setup?

very nice...do you switch back and forth between your 2p and 1p panel? the 2p diamond panel looks really nice...i purchased the 2p vewlix L panel...i wont mind it so much if i put a marquee in my cab

i believe i saw one of your posts earlier where you got your 2p harness from a guy on ebay right?

I do not switch back and forth i just leave the 2p panel on.

im actually getting a new 2p panel made from
REPRO SEGA, SNK and TAITO Panels

ill probably end up selling the one in my picture after since im not gonna be doing anything with it.

and yes here is the link. And you can also write in a message what color you want your wires on the harness

thanks for sharing! those panels look great...let me know when youre thinking of letting go of your panel...if the L style irritates me enough i may pick yours up!
