I designed my own JAMMA extension setup. The prototypes just arrived. I'm wondering if I should order more and offer them for sale?

  • A HAS/Minigun style kick harness port is included on each end.
  • The power channels use a molex mini fit jr 8 pin connector
    • GND (3 pins)
    • 5 Volts (3 pins)
    • 12 Volts (1 pin)
    • -5 Volts (1 pin)
  • Audio uses a 1/8 inch TPS (GND, Audio+, Audio-)
  • Video uses a DE-15 (VGA)
  • Everything else uses a HPDB50 (50 pin SCSI 2)

My idea for using SCSI 2, VGA and 1/8 TPS ports was to make it easy to buy pre-made cables of whatever length was required. The power cable is not off the shelf. I was able to get some power cables made by a seller on aliexpress for a reasonable price.

If I do sell these I think I would either sell bare PCBs or assembled PCBs. The buyer would need to source the cables themselves.

Humm it sure looks interesting :)

You just have to buy the cables and its good to go?

got a few questions,

I'm currently using a jamma cab,
(only one have one upright and one cocktail) wich is the heavy MK2/KI2 cab.
pulling that thing is quite heavy and my wife can't do it XD
so i always have to be around if she wants to plays.

so an extension would be best :3 i could put the pcb besides the cab.

i'd like to use Qsound from some of my cps2 units, for that i need to mute mono.
But i also need mono sometimes too dependaing of the PCB.
is there a way on your adaptor to turn it on/off ?

Certainly, just leaving the audio cable disconnected on my boards will mute the audio.

I have not tested it yet, but I think running the audio cable from the CPS2 RCA outs directly to the audio input on the supergun/cabinet extension board would result in neo geo MVS style stereo.

I am interested in assembled boards. How much will it cost? Also, can you share links for purchasing the cables?
