I got a 256 system that was bought as untested and I'm wondering if there's a way to save it.

It doesn't beep when booting, I get nothing on the screen, the fan doesn't spin, and I cannot operate the DVD drive.

However, the LEDs on the front glow (memory card and power).

Is this board dead or can it be saved.

Clean the memory card

If the i/o board yellow light is blinking fast adjust the voltage of the power supply

If your booting it in the lcd or led tv monitor.via vga dipswitch 2/3/4 all in On position

If via cabinet on crt let all dipswitch on off position

Is your i/o boqrd has the loex connected to the i/o going to the system?

The IO board was green I believe. The Power Light was red.

I know the setup works since I've got a working 256 that boots just fine using the same media/settings.

Is the motherboard getting any power (any LEDS light on the motherboard itself)? Fan working? Looks like some power issue or something isn't seated properly.
