Probably due to the fact you used double sized EPROMs for H1/L1.R-Type Leo uses the exact same rom sizes for H0/L0 (256k) and H1/L1 (128k) and you have to move J15 to 512.
BTW, you're welcome, enjoy your new game.

Jumpers were installed and set at the following locations:
J1 = N
J6 = N
J8 = 4M
J15 = OT vs 512 (if I burn ROMs L1 + H1 with 27C010 EPROMs, I set this to 512)
J16 = 4S
Dip Switches on main board were set to the following positions:
SW1 00000010 Attract Mode Audio + Normal Difficulty + Normal 1UP Play
SW2 00001111 FreePlay
This was quite a journey.
Being it was my first major conversion, I learned a
lot.
Especially understanding how to look at ROMs, and how they relate to their respective platform PCB.
I assume I can do the same thing with this board converting it to R-Type Leo, Gunforce, etc.
Just burn a set and put er in place, change their jumpers.
I should have enough EPROMs to make another ROM set.
