Got really tired of threading the ethernet cable in and out whenever I need to move the cab around.
So i had a panel made for an easy disconnect. Might as well take advantage of the extra space and
added splitting and linking capabilities for another cab, controller, monitor, etc.

Materials for build
USB Extension
HDMI
Ethernet
VGA

Still kind of rough around the edges and back. Didn't want to spend extra for sand/paint finish for this test piece.
Maybe do a small run of 10 pieces if the price is right.

Great idea! If this is not finalized a space for a RCA jacks would be awesome too.

Totally down.

I made my own with leftover ABS plastic, and was only able to fit 2 I/O's in there with the limited space. Would be interested to see how you handle the other side of the panel to fit all those I/O's.

Doesn't look sexy at all but no one notices it.

I am really surprised you were able to fit so many I/O's on that small plate! You really got some good parts there that are low profile for them to fit together like that. I was only able to get 2! Is there enough acrylic there to support all that weight? It doesn't seem brittle at all? Hell I would take that first metal piece you made. Get it powder coated when I go to do my cabs. :)

Would love to see how it looks mounted!

I am too. I would like to squeeze a few more things but the hole in the cab isnt big enough. Its 3mm thick. I'm sure once its mounted all the weight will be relieved. I really want to have them all made in metal, but I want to keep the cost down. As long as you're plugging/unplugging carefully, there shouldnt be any issues. I will post mounted pictures when I get home.

only issue I see is the vga hardware. You would have to mount it from the rear before screwing the panel in. Not sure if it makes sense.

Had some time to revist this project. Acrylic is nice but wanted something more durable.
