In the Lindbergh multikit that I picked up second hand from a member here, I tried booting the low res Japanese ID4 so it could display on my stock OR2SP monitor, however the game is very jittery for me where the rival car seems to jump forwards and backwards very rapidly the entire race.
I thought it might be my monitor, but I wired up to an HD wide screen LCD computer monitor and get the same behavior from this version of the game.
Also, the test menu for this version ends up way to the right of the screen and cuts off all the options, on both monitors.
The high res export version runs very smooth and the test menu is centered.
Am I doing something wrong?
On an unrelated note: Why the heck in the Export version didn't they bother to give subtitles to the characters mid race? I didn't see any settings for this in the test menu. As it is it's just a bunch of annoying sounding Japanese voices (not that Japanese voices or people are annoying in general, just the character voices) calling out almost constantly through the race that I can't understand.
