Hey all! Long time gamer and tinkerer with all things electronic :P

So I have this old Capcom Street Fighter II arcade PCB, with just a power supply to go along with it (no jamma harness either). I got it from a friend years ago and just left it in storage.

The other day my son and I were looking for a new project so we dug it out. I was able to hook up some power to the board and pull some scope readings...but not much else. I dont have a rgb monitor around, yet. Everything does appear ok, though - I was able to get video signals on the rgb pins, and sound on the speaker. Awesome!

We were thinking of trying to go as authentic retro as possible...though this may not really be possible (ie, cost effective). We want to go with a full-sized cabinet, but have several options.

Do I go with a kit based cabinet, DIY, or buy and restore an old one?

For the monitor, should I go with a new-old stock rgb crt...or do I go along the hdmi-upscaler with lcd route?

At any rate, I think my next step is to get a jamma harness w/controls and something rigged up for the video, to actually see if this thing actually works!
