What's new
Crap. It looks like the sound board on my GT3D is different from the one on SFTM. All the GT3D's I've found are either the kind I have (https://quarterarcade.com/golden-tee-3d-golf-3960) or the one that is totally different.

@Derick2k Thanks bud, I appreciate it. No worries about the delay at all. Looks like I'm now hunting for a GT3D with the same sound board as my SFTM ;)

Check ebay, or just ask quarterarcade guys to see if they have one with that revision with the rca jacks.

here's one that looks to be a good donor
GT3D

if the main board is correct you might be able to use the sound board from your SFTM assuming it's ok.

it's also possible that there are other compatible sound boards, I just don't think any of them have been tested.

In my experience, many of the causes of SFTM board not booting are input buffer 74HCT541 failures.
This board seems to check the input status at startup, and it will not start if the input buffer is faulty.
In addition, since the JAMMA pin arrangement of this board is upside down, the input buffer is often damaged by the reverse insertion of the connector.

@gitanes ever seen one with colors like this?

The game plays, and all the graphics are actually correct under the messed up colors. You can see everything fairly clearly in person.

Are you able to see enough to go into self test? SFTM has some really good in depth ram tests from what I remember.

Yep. Everything tests good except for the graphics ROMs. But the ROMs test fine in the programmer against MAME.

So I'm assuming it can't address them properly for some reason. I've replaced one of the 74LS chips and the other is in the mail.

Only thing that will be left untested on the PCB after that comes in are the security PIC and passives.

Did you use same speed or faster EPROMs? Burn the same revision of graphics/sound roms?

Does anyone know if a golden tee 99 motherboard will work with a street fighter the movie pcb set.

There are too many board revisions for golden fee 99 to be sure without looking at the motherboard or having a part number. It has to be the non-single pcb. It also might have to have a security chip from stfm swapped into it iirc. Also a kick header added if it’s lacking.

P/N 1064 REV 1 is what you want
More info in the driver https://github.com/mamedev/mame/blob/master/src/mame/drivers/itech32.cpp

Sounds good. Thank you. I'll check and see which revision mobo I have.
