Naomi 2 concerns

Well, finally my naomi 2 arrived from Cyprus... When I picked it at the customs agency I heard something wrong. When I opened it, found this:

And this freaking rusty capacitor:

Could this loose heatsink mean a damage to the PCB? If not, what can I use to paste it again? Also, what's better? Shall I replace or remove the supercap?

if you're handy with a soldering iron i'd remove the cap and give that area a very good cleaning. there looks to be some corrosion on the board as well so be gentle with it.

as for the heat sink im not sure if you need an adhsive thremal compound or and old compound will work.

Oh man, i just got mine today too. Similar thing happened to me as well, but on mine the heat sink totally rattled around causing one of component to rip right off the board and i'm not sure if it's done any other damages. I've emailed the seller to see what can be done :/

I was looking for the supercar replacement and its already discontinued, nevertheless I found its replacement, with the difference on the range. 0.22F instead of 0.1F

supercap isn't necessary anyway, many people just remove them.
