Questions for Namco Noir owners

The led’s measure 3.5mm x 3.0mm, I removed one but they are very small and not looking forward to replacing any or all! 40 in total. I think an LED strip may be a better option.

That was also my primary idea. I wonder if would be possible tu use a led strip with the same female connector as the noir led panel. I have no access to a soldering station, so I’d need something “plug&play”.
 
Yes that’s what I used, a led strip. I tried a couple of alternate types because they are very bright.

Once I got it working I disconnected it as lights on cabs just annoy me, I always disconnect the marquee light on my cabs too.

for brightness just rig up a PWM dimmer and adjust to how you want it, something like this (can be de-cased its a tiny pcb)

Good idea on the dimmer, I fitted a 24 volt strip to mine but it’s quite bright.
 
Anybody know where I can source and replacement coin door? The plastic on mine is cracked.
