I'm a total newb to TTX world, just got a X2, and setting up the multi. I'm still learning about JVS and Fast I/O, so forgive me if this idea is impossible, already done, or illogical.

I remember back in the day, there was a tool called JoyToKey, which let you use software to map a USB game controller to keyboard inputs. Is there some equivalent of JoyToJVS. Where a piece of software takes a general USB HID Game controller and maps to JVS inputs? Is such a thing possible or done and I just missed it?

Idea would just be to run this software agent, plug in USB game controllers like fight sticks. Could that work?

That’s cool, but my idea is 100% software. Something that runs on the box itself. If it doesn’t exist I’m curious if that means for some reason it’s impossible to do

IIRC there is @corey's CJVS tool which will let you bind jvs to keyboard for MAME use, etc

Then you could possibly use joy2key in tandem.

Check out the MAME on TTX2 threads here for more info.
