Cannot shrink MS9 H Size down enough to fit a game onscreen

When running a Cave CV1000 game on my NAC I can't adjust the H size (vertical monitor) enough to fit the picture on the screen it is always going off the screen even with the pot turned all the way down. Is there something on the chassis itself I need to adjust so I can get this picture to shrink down enough to fit onscreen correctly?

there is hs lim pot on the main chassis, its horizontal size limit
also a width jumper, its headers are marked N and W

If I remember correctly I do have the jumper set to N, I would have to check it again though. I will look at adjusting the hs lim pot first.
