Did you solder the three small jumpers? If you don't solder those you won't get audio.

As for the weird colour, I'd triple check the pins you soldered onto the chips.

Do the colours still display properly from the JAMMA edge? Can you test this board with a supergun?

Congrats! So satisfying when a project finally comes together. Enjoy!

I didn't have any issues with the install but am having a hell of time trying to get my USB blaster (clone) to work with Quartus. Anyone have any tips to get it show up in the programmer screen? I followed all the guides/forums for installing the drivers and Quartus but still can't get that thing to populate in the list of available hardware. I just want to update the firmware to the newest release so I can get the updated resolution options.

I have heard that some knock off blasters have problems. I bought this one at the recommendation of someone on the shmups forums and it seems to work for me.

Also, the latest firmware for cps2 digital interface has created some problems for some people. I talked to marqs and there is solutions in the works.

Thanks for the good info. I'll order that programmer and wait till the next patch comes out.

Ill give it try, I don't get any errors or indication from windows that the driver is not signed. No yellow exclamation point or warnings about the driver signature not hashing properly. I will uninstall the drivers and try this when get home from work. I googled for three hours trying all sorts of fixes and work arounds but still can't get the programmer to see/list the USB blaster in the hardware tab. Looks like this has been an issue for almost a decade which is just mind boggling to see from a big company like Intel and Altera...

Did you power on the CPS2? The digitalAv board needs power for Windows and the USB Blaster to recognize it.

Yep, I followed This tutorial and all the guides from Intel's websight for setting up Quartus and the cable.

My issue is that Quartus doesn't show the USB blaster hardware in the drop-down as an option. Windows device manager shows it installed and working with Altera's drivers. Just can't select it in the software.

I know, that was also my isssue :)

Yeah, I'm still on the firmware mine shipped with last summer. I need to reprogram it.
