to me that sounds like way more than just probing for the pin out.

lets make this easy.

Create a text document and type up the name of every connector with a number list below each one

so:


Some Connector name

1.
2.
3.
4.
...

Some other connector name
1.
2.
3.
4.
...
Then take your multi meter and using a pinout from ANY CHIP on the PCB (I think someone posted a link to one earlier)
identify every ground pin and ever 5V pin and add it to your document.

so:

Some Connector name


1. GND
2.
3.
4. +5V
...


Some other connector name
1. +5V
2. +5V
3.
4.
...
No Joke this task should take 5-10 minutes. TOPS it will take you longer to type things up than do the probing.

Once you're done that post up the results here and I will tell you what to do next.

well I’m saying that’s his best path to a DIY solution, with the tools and knowledge at his disposal. you’re offering a DIWT (do it with twisted) step by step solution, i don’t think I’d bet against that!
