Greetings Everyone!

Didn’t know if I should post here or not, but came here due to the eprom burning title. If I need to post elsewhere, please let me know and I’ll be happy to do so!

If this does happen to be the right place, I have a Simpsons arcade PCB that is missing the eprom at 6E. If there is anyone that can burn it and ship it to me, or point me in a direction where I can do it myself, I’ll be forever grateful!

Thanks in advance!

buyicnow.com will burn and ship you any chip. the file itself is in mame and available across the web in pretty easy to find places.

Some members might be able to burn them. Under different circumstances I could. Someone may reply.

Also I think you mean 6G ;)

@ekorz thank you so much!!!!

Lol, you’re right! It is 6G... lol.

Also, I have a burner, but I don’t know what IC to get... or what file I’m looking for...

Is it one of these two?

thanks again for you help!!! I really appreciate it!

The file you need is dependent on the version you want to run. I'm not sure why but the files seem to differ between the 4p and 2p romsets. There is also a difference between asia and everywhere else, but that makes sense since this is the audio cpu code.

https://github.com/mamedev/mame/blo...144661d9f8/src/mame/drivers/simpsons.cpp#L393

The romset you're looking for has the filename here: https://github.com/mamedev/mame/blo...144661d9f8/src/mame/drivers/simpsons.cpp#L634 in the first column e.g. simpsons, simpsons4pe, simpsons2p etc.

No matter the file, it will run on a 1mbit 8 bit 32pin rom: 27c010 or 27c1001
or if you're out of those, a 2mbit 8bit 32pin 27c020 or 27c2001 with the data doubled
