Hi!

I just got a new monitor today :)
It shows Wgm 2792 U0TS09B
On the chassis, from my reading, it is a
Wells D2900
(Correct me if am wrong)

In this spec sheet, it says an isolation transformer is not required but, I am all about making sure Idiot proof things lol!

Question:
1) if I touch the board while it's powered on, with no iso, I can kill the PCB right? Or is there one built in?

2) Could I add an isolation transformer? If so, would any old one work?
The monitor spec sheet says
Input 90-260 VAC so I assume a 120v iso would be just fine.

Is it wise to do this or is it over kill?
Just curious as I am prone to breaking stuff lol

Sweet! Thanks for answering. :)
Just don't touch the hot side of the board while it's powered on, that will kill it right?

Be more concerned about it killing you.

If it's on, and you aren't 100% sure it's something you can touch: don't.

Beyond the adjustment pots (size, position, brightness, etc) there's really not much you should be touching on there while it's on anyway.
