I had a asian SF vs XMEN ASIAN CPS2 A+B board. After deep cleaning I made a test....without battery, and no work. I dont know if short circuit because I didn't let dry enough time or this is test with game chip without battery
I installed a Multi CPS2, and almost all games dont run. 1944 runs but test memory I have it:

it could be ATMEL 102 93C46 SC27 chip died. But do you know if it could other thing?
