Picked up a Teraburst on Ebay that came with no JVS power supply.

I'm trying to figure out the correct power pinout for this filterboard. This is the same filterboard used on Silent Scope. (pic attached to post)

I mention this separately from Gradius IV and NBA Play by Play because they have different filterboards, with different power connectors (Looks more like Sega Naomi connectors)

I assume the Teraburst/Silent Scope is similar to the Naomi pinout without the "left most pins".

Can anyone confirm? I'd like to be sure before shoving power in unknown places.

There's a manual for this that shows the wiring but not in its best quality. I do have a scanned manual from the upright version which I will upload in a few hours: http://antelopearcade.com/files/Arcade Manuals/TERABURST.PDF

CN1 and CN2 are the power connectors. CN1's pins 1-3 are +5v and CN2's pins 2 and 4 are +12v. The rest are ground.

Oh...and this game isn't JVS. It uses an m68k based I/O board located above the CPU board with the main CPU, a Power PC 403GA, communicating with the m68k via a latch.

If you need a custom power harness I can probably make one for you. I had to make a bunch for a project and have some spare parts.

I have the 6 pin connector, the 4 one possibly. I can crimp leads for you to length you need to make your own harness.

Thank you for the informative response! I wasn't expecting to get this info so quickly! I'll be anticipating the manual.

Ah, yes! I was checking this out in Mame and noticed the GN680(E) I/O board was mentioned for this game.

The plan is to convert this to Gradius (like most Hornet boards). I noticed it had the same Video and CPU board as Gradius.

I assume the USB from the CPU board is JVS, is that correct?

It's the same board but you have to change the timekeeper along with all respective roms. The USB plug can be used for JVS but only for games that have that supported. Gradius 4 is one of them but Teraburst isn't.

Also, mind if you take a screenshot of the I/O board next to a certain custom, 056800. I have a different version of that GN680 I/O board from a Thunder Hurricane cabinet that used a custom 056230 for network comms between the main and I/O board.

Yea, I can take a look and you can have it if you want.

I made a crude drawing of the connectors on my phone. Let me know if this is correct.

@Derick2k - I'd be happy to take you up on your offer for the power connectors.

@Hydreigon - Can you confirm my drawing is correct? I wasn't really sure about the 4pin CN...
