Only if the coder is extremely talented and detail oriented. It's subject to the same potential pitfalls as any human-made software implementation.

161 in 1 multi cart, they are all over the place on the cheap.

Or if you just want the one game, 138 in 1 with dipswitch mod set to Metal Slug 3.

What game are you looking to play? @rewrite told you the cheapest and best board for play outside of a cabinet. If it's one of the ones that plays ok on the 161 in 1 then that will be a cheap way to go.

Are you linking to a specific auction? that links to all the search results for MV-1FZ can't see any $50 boards unless you mean USD$50?

The Chinese stuff will probably take months to get here, I'm generally steering clear of ordering from China unless there is a DHL/FedEx/UPS option...
 
If you buy a FZ from China, 99% of the time it will have "CHINA ONLY SALE" engraved on the shell...

They turn up on Aussie eBay from time-to-time... I sold one with a 6-in-1 multicart (with MS3 on it coincidentally) on there a while back for $100 AUD shipped. It sat for about 6 months too.
 
@jassin000 is like it but I don't get it, I'll take a stab in the dark, is there an issue with capacitor 19 on Chinese MVS?

If you want MS3, put up a WTB. It's a very common cart since it's a very popular game, expect to pay between $150-200AUD

Motherboard I love the 1FZ but also the 1F is good if you want memory card and controller inputs while not being enormous.

Expect to spend around $100
