As this sega system is verry new ,lets open her up to understand what’s inside :)

From the outside it looks a bit like a ringedge 1/2
Uses a usb stick for sec chip
has a special jvs board ,almost like the Lindbergh has.

inside it has a normal ssd and uses a pretty low mem gpu as you have diff steps like ringedge 1 and 2 you have the NU 1/1.1 and the NU 2 all the same base hardware just higher GPU and Mem

you can switch it out depending on the game and uses 8 up to 16Gb or internal ram . I have to check the cpu yet.

this system is running initial D zero
Using Sega jvs i/o type 3 and/or the extended I/o for racing

@portholio the NU uses all kinds of cpu depending on the the stepping vers 1.0-1.1-1.2

same as Lindbergh and ringedge/ringwide

it all depends on the game titel and the power it needs

same with ram and gpu

:)

That makes sense, thank you for the info. I was looking further into it and it appears early Nu games were based on Windows 8 embedded whereas later games are on Windows 10 IoT. I think its pretty cool because ive never seen an arcade pc bridge multiple os generations before.
