hey
can anyone help me/direct me to why is this board dead?
it seems it has missing female plug that should connect to one of the slots(is it necasery for operation?)
the sound chip legs was cut of and desoldered from the board
it looks the sound was pulled from cn24 pin (it had 4 wires soldered to the pins when i got it)
the led turns on-no picture on screen at all
thanks for any help you can offer

Jesus, that poor STV.

Yes, the terminating PCB is 100% mandatory however that's the least of your concerns it seems.

any way to get a replacement terminating connecntor?

Might be difficult to track one down.

Perhaps find a schematic and build your own?

am I to understand I better of sell this set for parts?
what is a fair price to ask for?
thank you all

Got several scrap STV's i'm sure one will have the terminator on it. Will check for you later :D

I'd say it's worth testing, the sound amp is no problem to locate and the PCB can be tested without sound.

Edit , Found one! You can have it for the postage if wanted.
