Hello

I have 2 B board for CPS2, the first SSF2X japan (infinite key installed):

and puzzle loop2:

This stack is normal? rare? original? The simms on puzzle loop seems same of CPS3, can I use it for SF3 motherboard?

I had a Jangokushi that had the same add-on board with the simms. They appear to be the same as on the CPS3 (though mine were 32s so not that useful for the multi-board)

Used the Jangokushi for my CPS2 multi with no issues, FWIW. I think it's perfectly normal.

Not all Progear originals used the simm pcbs. Some used normal roms instead.

The thought is that since CPS3 failed to make the impact they expected, and Capcom needed to recoup costs, they decided to use the extra CPS3 parts they had to save money. With memory prices at the time, especially flash, it was a prudent move.

I have 2x SSF2X bought from Japan. Both have different board. one is same as the first pic of the topic and the second has less mask rom. What could be the explanation ? Capcom did several release of this game ?

Really difficult to find information on this board.
