New install. Random working/Cold boots to purple screen...

First off, thank you for a great kit. Having a little issue with my installation though. Just got this from Paradise Arcade Shop this week.

This went into a suicided Marvel VS Capcom board. 93646B-7 jumpers all correct, G-Pal installed. I'm using a small test Kingston 1gb card. It was formatted properly on a Windows machine. Not getting any errors loading roms.

The issue I'm having is games will load and reset circuit appears to be working fine. But if I power off the cabinet and come back to it later (it can be minutes or hours) many times it will boot to a solid purple screen on first power up. If I power cycle it, many times it will resolve the issue. However sometimes it will not and will take several tries. Looking at the boards with a flashlight....everything seems fully seated.

Any suggestions or ideas on what I should be checking/looking into?

Some people have fixed this issue by removing the component at EXC5. I've never had this issue myself though.

Just a small update...I did check and re-press fit all the boards a second time...didn't notice any movement.

It seems like most of my issues were rom related. I had first pulled from the file in the manual, then found the sticky here and also had a friend insist I just use phoenixed roms since you can select region at boot.

Once I got the roms sorted out and a new card. So far all is going well.
