So...... I finally got my backup Toshiba PD1843 chassis today from Yaton 2.0 (scarlet-1661 on ebay)
Well packed, but damn..... Not sure if this is safe to hook up and try even though it is sold as “good working”.... Try to reflow and repair or just ask the seller for a refund? Feel free to chip in!

Pin 12 on the neck board is also missing.... I guess that’s not how it’s meant to look? ^^

Pin 12 is not connected, that's normal. You might want to reflow the pins on the CRT socket, as well as the flyback. They both look like they could use it.

The rest of the chassis looks like there's just flux residue from heating/usage.

Man, someone was short on solder when installing that flyback.

Otherwise the chassis doesn't look too bad. Just touch up some of the soldering and it should be fit for testing.

Cool! Thanks!

Any tips for giving this type of chassis a good clean? I have seen some dunk it in Simple Grean and hose i down with the garden hose.... Don’t know if I would be comfortable with that..

you can see the exact work done on that chassis and they have looked at/replaced all the general issues on that model
the unsoldered legs on the flyback are not actually connected to anything in any case

that chassis is used on pure flat tubes, normally found in games like max tune 3

i am quite sure this chassis is matched to a different yoke than the earlier verson digital chassis although i do test these on 0.300mh yokes and they seem fine

Thanks for great info! Based on info from arcade otaku wiki, at least the neck board comes from a
MATSUSHITA tube since the C228 Cap is 220uf, 200V.

Would this be a issue if I try to hook it up to the Toshiba tube on my NNC?

Awesome. I just got the same chassis from an NNC that wont turn on. Best of luck to you.

Does anyone by chance know what parts I need to replace:

D817
D818
Q807

Looks like they got broken off in shipping or something.
