Current thoughts on fanless with Darksoft multi?

So I installed my Darksoft multi on my Taito F3. The fan on it is dead, and I don't really want to butcher a working cart for a shall so I'm thinking I'll leave it bare (or get a lions shell). The fan on my frame is dead, and of course if I remove the frame there's no fan at all. I'm thinking this is fine, but can't find any concrete information as to any risks this may entail.

It shouldn’t pose an issue, I have seen this countless times before. Those wires coming loose is common.

well in my case the fan is shattered. But yeah, it never really seemed like it was doing much in terms of cooling. So bare PCB it is!
