I bought this Euro 6 slot cab from a collector (Finngamer in most forums). Once I tested it better, I noticed that right audio channel was missing and left was quite silent too.
So first I took the pcb apart
And then I cleaned it
First problem I found that there was short in the amplifier!
But that wasn't the reason for the problems. Then I started to go through the audio path component by component and found some bad caps, example this is 100uF cap that also should have ESR less than 1 Ohm
so full recap!
And the sound was back. Using lot of volume does brings distortion, I'm not sure if it's the speaker or should I also replace the amp chip. But currently it is not a problem with the volume levels normally used. I'm going to anyway replace the speakers with better quality in some point.
After I got sound fixed, I decided to add background light for the logo. I wired 12V line up there and added led strip
